Kuredu Island and Prodivers | Dive The Maldives

Kuredu is an island where the diving sits on your doorstep. The fine white sand gives way to an aquamarine house reef. Perched in the northern tip of the Lhaviyani Atoll and just a 40 minute scenic seaplane transfer from Male, the resort focuses on personal service and laid back fun. Its northern atoll location, great diving and combo of dining and relaxation are just some of the reasons Kuredu has been a popular choice throughout the years.

There are 7 different room grades to chose from in Kuredu - garden bungalows, beach bungalows, beach villas, jacuzzi beach villa, sangu water villas and the private pool villas! If you are going to spend all day out diving or hitting the beach, we suggest either the garden bungalows or beach bungalows. These are great value with all the facilities you could need. If you are spending more time on the island, why not upgrade to the beach villa or "O" beach villa! The O resort is an adult only resort within Kuredu with its own dedicated restaurant and pool. Indulge in your own private jacuzzi in the jacuzzi beach villas or O jacuzzi beach villas. The sangu water villas are perched right on the edge of the Indian ocean with the most magnificent views of all. Watch baby rays race over the reef from your private veranda. The Private pool villas have their own private pool, set in lush gardens. All of the rooms are set up with double beds as standard but a second bed can be arranged for twin shares - please make sure you request this at the time of booking.

Kuredu boasts a number of buffet and a la carte restaurants, 6 bars, the Sai Kotari tea house and Sangu Wine Cellar. And with full as standard on our package, or all inclusive upgrades available, the week will flow stress free. You will be designated a restaurant on arrival (depending on room grade) but there are also a la carte options. The on site spa is a sanctuary in the heart of the resort. There is even a 9 hole golf course! Splash in the pool or check out the new and improved on site watersports centre, with kit surfing and wind surfing. So no matter if you are staying for a few days or your whole holiday, there is something for everyone at Kuredu.

Weather and Climate

Whilst there are 2 monsoon seasons (Nov-Apr & May-Oct), the diving remains excellent year round. Diving operators will changes their dive sites in each season to find the best hot spots for the big fish! Traditionally, our summer months tend to be windier with a higher chance of rain, whilst the winter months are flatter. However, the seasons are much less predictable in reality and its a fabulous place to dive whatever time of year!
