About Scuba Travel

Angela first learnt to dive at university and soon found herself travelling the world as a diving instructor before becoming a Director of Scuba Travel in 1997. Nearly three decades later, she is still doing what she loves.

She has dived across the world, although the Red Sea remains her favourite for its warm blue water, coral gardens and incredible variety of marine life. These days, sharing diving with her son makes it even more special.

Angela is passionate about exceptional customer care and wants every guest to feel they are in knowledgeable, experienced hands from first enquiry to return home.

Caroline joined Scuba Travel in 2007 and has played a central role in the business ever since, becoming a Director in 2017. She combines a deep understanding of our destinations with a sharp eye for the practical details that make a holiday run smoothly.

From managing our portfolio of trusted fleets and resorts to helping shape new products, Caroline works closely with suppliers and the wider team to make sure the holidays we offer remain exciting, reliable and good value.

She is especially good at turning a broad wish list into a clear, workable holiday plan and making even complicated travel arrangements feel straightforward.

Originally from Sweden, Martin became a diving instructor in 2002 and worked in the Scandinavian dive industry before meeting and marrying Angela and moving to the UK.

After trying a few different roles, he followed his real passion back to diving and joined Scuba Travel in 2011. His instructor background and calm, practical approach make him a natural fit for operations.

Martin works behind the scenes to keep complex bookings, flights and supplier arrangements moving smoothly, while bringing a diver’s understanding to every decision.

Originally from Colombia, Mario joined Scuba Travel in March 2018 after building a varied career around diving and underwater photography.

Before moving into travel, he worked as a dive guide in the Red Sea, led escorted photography trips for beginners and worked in an underwater camera shop. That mix of guiding, teaching and technical camera knowledge gives him a wonderfully practical understanding of what divers need from a trip.

Mario is particularly skilled at helping photographers and keen naturalists choose the right destination, itinerary and time of year.

Alison qualified as a PADI Open Water Diver on a family holiday and quickly realised that she wanted a life built around travel and diving. She began her diving career with Emperor Divers in 2001 and completed her instructor training the following year.

Her career has taken her from the Red Sea and Caribbean to six continents, with more than 3,000 dives, countless student certifications and years of experience as both a dive travel agent and product operator.

She loves combining diving with wildlife and land-based adventures, from Galapagos and Cocos to Africa, Alaska and Indonesia, and brings a wonderfully honest, well-rounded perspective to every holiday she plans.

Melissa’s love of travel began during a family trip to India in 2008, where the culture, food and way of life made her determined to see more of the world.

Learning to dive in 2012 changed everything. She later worked overseas as a Divemaster before returning to the UK to build a career in travel, visiting destinations across Asia, the Indian Ocean, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and North America.

The Maldives remains closest to her heart, and she combines first-hand diving knowledge with a genuine determination to create holidays that guests will remember forever.

Sue learnt to dive in the late 1980s and later shared the sport with her family, returning to regular diving when her twins were old enough to complete their PADI Open Water course aboard Whirlwind.

During more than 20 years with Scuba Travel, she has been lucky enough to dive in extraordinary destinations including Galapagos, Socorro and Indonesia.

She especially loves adding a land-based adventure to a diving trip, from walking on Isabela and visiting the Amazon to touring Sri Lanka, and is a brilliant source of ideas for turning a diving holiday into a true trip of a lifetime.
