What's not included
Any additional services in resort (spa, land tours, additional dives, kit hire, private guides, nitrox and special trips) are paid for in resort. Alcohol and some soft drinks are an extra charge. Local park fees can only be paid in peso. Excess baggage on your domestic flights can be prebooked via the resort but is added to your room bill.
Special day trips, night dives, kit rental and any applicable nitrox or local park fees (50 pesos per dive) are paid locally.
Please ask for a quote to add international flights, hotel night en route and return domestic flights to Busuanga (Coron). We can book most major scheduled airlines including regional UK departure points
Tipping is entirely at your discretion. We do not make recommendations as to how much to tip. Should you wish to leave a tip for the staff and crew, it should reflect the level of service you have enjoyed.

About Sangat Island Dive Resort
Historic wrecks below, white sand and limestone cliffs above-welcome to Sangat Island Dive Resort. Tucked into Coron Bay in Palawan, this secluded retreat combines fascinating WWII wreck diving with colourful reefs and relaxed island living. With just 20 chalets and one private villa, it's a place to settle in, kick off your shoes and enjoy being somewhere special.
Sangat's location puts much of Coron Bay's underwater history within easy reach. Eight wreck sites lie just 5-30 minutes away by boat, giving you more time exploring and less time travelling to your next dive. Japanese wartime vessels now support corals and marine life, with decks, machinery and cargo spaces revealing glimpses of their past.
There's diving here for recreational and technical divers alike. Explore coral-covered wreck exteriors and nearby reefs, or plan deeper dives and wreck penetration appropriate to your qualifications and experience. Speak to us before booking about technical diving requirements so the resort can confirm the arrangements for your stay.
Beyond the wrecks, discover coral gardens, look for tiny reef creatures or snorkel the protected house reef. Special excursions can add another dimension to your holiday, including the unusual geothermal waters of Barracuda Lake. Back on the island, kayak along the coastline, try paddleboarding or visit Sangat's hot springs.
Accommodation is full of local character, built using traditional materials such as bamboo and nipa palm. Choose a hillside or beachside chalet, or ask about the hilltop options. Most are fan-cooled with unheated showers; three chalets have air conditioning and hot water. For extra privacy, Lambingan Villa has its own beach. Full board keeps island life simple, with three buffet meals each day, plus drinking water, tea, coffee and snacks. Enjoy freshly prepared Filipino and international dishes in the open-air restaurant, then head to the Rock Bar for sea views and a drink with fellow guests.
Spend your days exploring historic ships, swimming over reefs or relaxing beneath the palms, then watch the light fade across Coron Bay. It's a memorable combination of underwater adventure and time to unwind ashore.
Diving at Sangat Island Dive Resort
Few scuba divers realise that Truk is not the only place you can dive with Japanese war wrecks. Sangat, located in the Philippines, has plenty of coral smothered wrecks to dive, far from the crowds of other divers.

Sangat dive resort have been diving these waters for over 15 years and know every ripple and drop off, every engine room and hold penetration. As a PADI and SDI facility, the diligent instructors can teach courses for all levels including kid's courses (aged 8+). A wreck or deep diver specialty are well worth taking whilst staying here. The wrecks lend themselves well to nitrox, technical and rebreather dives. Sangat dive centre can custom blend the right mix for you as well as teach technical courses so you can take your diving even deeper!

Boat, shore or kayak dives
There are 3 main types of diving on offer at Sangat dive resort. The house reef and Coral Gardens can be dived from shore. For a dive with a difference, why not grab one of the centre's kayaks are paddle out to your next descent point. The majority of dive sites, including the formidable wreck dives, are reached by boat. The go fast boats are kitted out for divers and designed to speed you along to your chosen site as quickly as possibly. Groups are limited to 4 or 8 divers. The larger outriggers are traditional banka boats and can take up to 16 divers - perfect if you are diving with friends of your club. No matter how you get there though, the experienced dive guides will lead your through those hard to find nooks and crannies.

2We confirm and hold your space
Many trips are confirmed the same day; some take 24–48 hours. We'll confirm the price, cabin and flights with you.
3Pay a deposit to secure it
Typically 30% of the holiday cost. You then receive your confirmation and ATOL certificate. The balance is usually due 90 days before travel.

To enter the Philippines, your passport must have an "expiry date" at least 6 months after the date you arrive.
Entry Visa:
You can visit the Philippines without a visa for tourism or business for up to 30 days.
Travel registration
You must have a QR code to show that you have registered on the e-travel system within the 72 hours before your arrival in the Philippines. https://etravel.gov.ph/
Some airlines will not allow you to board your flight to the Philippines if you cannot show the QR code. The e-travel registration is free of charge.
Most UK visitors are also expected to have proof of return or onward travel. Immigration officials and airlines may ask for this.
